Executive

Tim Leslie - Chairman

Tim has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since January 2015.  Tim became involved in advocating for individuals with disabilities after his first child was born and diagnosed with Down syndrome.

Mike George – Vice Chairman

Mike has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since 2013.  Mike has a young adult son with multiple disabilities. Mike and his wife have invested a lifetime to help him become the person he is meant to be. Mike is co-founder of Soaring Families, an online community whose mission is to empower families impacted by a disability to live more freely, fully, and with more energy.

Stephen Calder - Treasurer

Stephen has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since 2016.   Two of Stephen's three children have special needs.   One of his daughters has Down syndrome and the other has a rare combination of 2 syndromes affecting the 18th chromosome.

Janet Leslie - Secretary

Janet has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since January 2015.  Janet's daughter, who was born in 2009, has Down syndrome.  Since her daughter’s birth, Janet has been involved in advocating for individuals with disabilities.

Directors

David Jory

David has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since 1980, and has held various positions on the Board. He is the father of three children, one of whom has Down syndrome. He is a retired professor of French at UNBSJ.

Connie Melanson-Savoy

Connie has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since the late 1990s.  Connie has strong family values and is the mother of seven children. She has been a fervent advocate of inclusive communities and the significant value of social networks for several years.

Randy Hatfield

Randy has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since 2006. Randy is an advocate for social and economic inclusion and sits on a number of local boards as well as being the Executive Director of the Saint John Human Development Council.

Dave O’Brien

Dave has served on the CLB-FR since 1979. He has three daughters, one of which was born with intellectual disabilities. His daughter was, and still is, his driving force behind his past and future efforts towards inclusive communities.

Theresa Patterson

Theresa Patterson has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since 2007. Theresa has three sons; the oldest has Asperger's syndrome and her youngest has Down syndrome and autism. She continues to learn how to best support and advocate for her sons.

Ken Pike

Ken has served on the CLB-FR Inc. since 2006. He has over 25 years of experience working with the Association for Community Living in a variety of capacities. He currently serves as Director of Social Policy for the New Brunswick Association for Community Living. Ken has authored or co-authored several books, resources, discussion papers and policy briefs on disability issues. He is the recipient of the 2008 New Brunswick Human Rights Award and the 2007 NBACL President’s Award.
